Compact HTPC Part 3 – Unboxing the Revo

In my previous post I talked about my decision to buy an Acer Aspire Revo R3600L to form the basis of my new HTPC.

Well, my new toy has now arrived, the next working day after ordering from eBuyer.com – excellent!

Below are some Flickr photos of the grand unveiling for your perusal (I apologise in advance for the quality of some of the pictures – I only had my iPhone to hand at the time!).

omg! Why did you buy the r3600? I picked up a r3610 (dual core atom cpu) for 150 quid from pcw, and it blows the r3600 away!
  • I think you must have been really lucky and perhaps someone at PCW had got confused on what they were selling! I can't even find a PCW that sells the Revo 3600 or 3610, and it's not on their web-site either.
The cheapest I've found an R3610 for anywhere is £250. :-(
